So what’s new at Flockton Cricket Club in 2012 – the loss of well over half of the players left the club with no choice but to withdraw the Second Team and following our request to the Huddersfield Central League Committee we have been allocated to play in Section D this year. A far cry from the position which we earned in the 2000’s, when we reached the Premiership. However, what must be, must be, and the decision to play in a lower league was at the request of the players that are left and hopefully we can have a good season and start to rebuild. There has been a cricket team in Flockton since 1868 and it is now up to the small band of players left to resurrect the club. We shall be taking over the fixtures of the Second Team and start with a home game against Thornhill & Westborough B on Sunday 22nd April 2012. .

About us
Flockton Cricket Club have played at Lockout Park, Hill Top Flockton since 1928 when the Members and Trustees bought the ground assisted by a grant from CISWO. The Club is always looking at ways of improving our facilities, and have recently added new toilets and a new tea room. The first steps are by reforming a Second Team in 2013 and also to encourage youngsters at Under 9 and Under 11 level to participate in cricket and in that respect a number have all ready come forward
